Bell offers Montreal Canadiens games in High Definition

Oct 2, 2007

07/08 season to be broadcast in HD via RDS starting October 3

MONTREAL, Quebec, Oct. 2 /CNW Telbec/ - This NHL season, Bell Canada is
offering Montreal Canadiens games in true High Definition. Starting October 3,
Bell will begin broadcasting the 07/08 NHL season in HD on RDS.
"High Definition, or HD, continues to grow in popularity, especially with
sports fans across Quebec," said Kevin Crull, President, Bell Residential
Services. "Quebec hockey fans are some of the most diehard sports fans in
Canada, and we are proud to show their beloved Canadiens like they never seen
them before - in true HD."
With 58 HD channels, Bell offers the largest selection of HD channels in
Canada, including the most French HD channels available. In an effort to
educate the public on how to get the true HD experience, Bell is taking the HD
message to Canadians with their national HD tour, landing in Montreal on
October 3, just in time for the kick-off of the NHL season.
With only half of Canadians with HD televisions getting the true HD
experience, Bell's tour gives people the chance to see what they need to have
true HD and offers them the opportunity to try Bell's full HD experience
before they choose a service provider.
